Read the first one in this series to my son when he was about 9 or 10. Had to wait for the last 3 books to come out. It was a fun "bonding" experience to read together and discuss the books. We went to this series while waiting to finish the Harry Potter series. I can not stress enough how important it is to read WITH your children. Find series they love and you will instill a lifelong love of reading and education. My son has very little time to read for "fun" now but I'm sure once he finishes college he will once again find the joy of picking up a book just for pure enjoyment not just to write a paper!

My son and my wife have enjoyed this series... how do we talk the author into more books. They are great entertainment! Like any relationship built over time this series created a bittersweet ending. Time well spent.
Mr. Higson did a phenomenal job with all 5 books, introducing us to a believable teenage James Bond. The final book caps the series perfectly, and is true to the Fleming literary mythos. I can only wait and hope that more Young Bond stories are forthcoming from this author.
The Young James Bond books are exactly what they claim to be. Lots of action and intrigue, but these books are designed for younger readers - so the language and situations are perfectly okay to have in the hands of youth. No suggestive or sexy scenes, but plenty of action to keep readers interested.
Fun read, gives good background to Bond. I enjoyed the details of the snow, the countryside, and the way Bond gets out of trouble.
I bought this as a lark to use up some credit and was surprised that it was as good as it is. It seems to be written for a younger audience but as an old Bond fan I found it pretty good.

I have not read the series from the start (and probably won't) but If they are anything like this one, they would be enjoyable as well.
I've read the entire series and I have to say, the first one was more for kids, but the rest of them are written for an older audience and at age 60, and a big James Bond fan, I have to say they were all very well written and fun books to read. I wish there were more of them. I have the kindle version.
A fun read, well thought out and narrated by Higson. Very Fleming like in his verbiage band round robin story telling. I am sad I started with this one first, but I'm going to Tarantino this series and finish it. Cheers!
