I am going to try really hard to not spoil all three books, however, both of the times I have read the Fade Series I have plowed through all 3 books in one night. Why? Well, because I cannot put them down.I was very quick to fall in love with Olivia and even faster to fall in love with Max. But then again, I am sucker for the hot rich and sexy man that everyone wants. One of the reasons that drew me into these books was not just the exciting sex scenes, but the banter between Max and Olivia. There is something special about a relationship that can pick and play with each other in the ways that Max and Olivia did throughout all three books. A relationship like this shows comfort and a growing relationship.
So many of these book with heroines with self esteem issues get old after a while. Olivia was no different, only that she was concerned with a broken heart than with whether or not she deserved to be with Max. She never really questioned his motivations and whether or not she deserved him. She just accepted what he had to offer her. That to me made these books special and realistic. The story between Max and Olivia is real, its something that happens everyday. Something that gives us hopeless romantics something to strive for and hope that true love is real and obtainable.
Because I am a hopeless romantic I couldn't put down the books and was turned on by hot and steamy sex scenes, I give Fade Into You, Fade Into Me, and Fade Into Always Five (5) Fabulous stars!

Fade Into Me edition by Kate Dawes Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Got this series as it kept on popping up on my recommended list so for $0.99 I gave it a go. It is hard to write a review on just this book as I read all three at once. It is a short read (but no too short) and could have been in the one book for $2.99 insteed on the 3 individual books. It did flow some what but did find it could have had more in depth of the charters, the ex Chris could have been more in depth was only mentioned a few times and then it was over with him but he was a main part of the back story. But was still a good read. Look forward to more reads from Kate Dawes
I have been reading this "spicy contemporary" genre for the past 3 months. I started with the proverbial FSOG (yes, it's already an acronym) and went on to Sylvia Day's spectacular Crossfire series and landed on "never-heard before", very promising authors. Kate Dawes has potential, for sure (I love the humor in it), but I still think that she needs to tighten her writing up a little bit. I am not a writer so I can't really articulate this but there were parts that could have been condensed while others could have beene expanded. The 3 book novella thing doesn't do it for me. I think we would all be better off with one single book. But overall, good job - keep it coming!
I only picked up this book because I poorly decided to purchase book one and two in this series before reading the sample. I strongly disliked the first book (I've included my review of book one below) but since I already bought the second book I thought I would try to read it in hopes that it couldn't possibly get any worse. I got about 3/4 of the way though and just couldn't read any more.
Review of Fade Into You (Fade series #1)
"This is one of those books that I really wish I would have read the sample before purchasing book 1 and 2 in the series. For reasons I can't comprehend this book rated really well and has some raving reviews, so I purchased it based on the reviews. If you read the sample you will see that the writing is incredibly juvenile. I'm no literary snob but this book reads like it was written by a high school student. It feels like it started out as a short story that maybe the author was encouraged to expand. Unfortunately the characters lack depth. the dialogue is immature and callow, and the storyline and narrative fall flat. The only redeeming quality it that it only cost $1. I hate being so negative. I feel the author does have some talent and ability but maybe she should write short stores and work on developing narrative and dialogue."
FADE INTO ME (Fade Series #2) by Kate Dawes
FADE INTO ME is the second novella (September 2012 release) in Kate Dawes three-part novella series, and this storyline is short. The storyline starts up at exactly the same point where Fade Into You ended. Like many of the other serial type novellas written in the same style, this series is basically a novella broken down into 3 very short novellas. I guess the serial release is a bigger attraction to readers but disappointing when each successive novella is shorter than the previous.
FADE INTO ME follows Olivia and Max as he takes her for a weekend getaway to Napa Valley where Max, at Olivia's insistence, tells her about his life and family. But when Olivia asked about his previous loves, Max was a little too evasive and Olivia began to wonder if she had overstepped her bounds or if Max was hiding a dirty little secret.
Olivia's success with the talent agency was earning her high praise from the boss. With a new found enthusiasm and an office to call her own, Olivia was hoping to make inroads into the business. But after a weekend to New York with Max, Olivia's boss Kevin would point out that perhaps her relationship with Max may hurt both of their careers. When Olivia started to protest, Kevin showed her some pictures and Olivia's heart sank. Max hadn't been honest and he had broken her heart.
FADE INTO ME advances the storyline especially as it pertains to some of the background information about Olivia and Max. Like most erotica storylines there is plenty of steamy sex in varying positions and places. Our heroine is no virgin and she knows what she wants and isn't afraid to try something new. This storyline is not about BDSM, and there are no issues of control or power plays between the couple, which is a refreshing relief at this point.
